Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

From the Parish Profile Committee, May 2010: The Development of our Parish Profile is an exercise in discernment. Most importantly, this process is to discover what God has in store for St. Andrew's. What kind of leader will move us forward to the next stage in our parish life?
This first step in this process is to discern who we are. This porcess is taking place on several levels. First, the Profile Committee and others have been listening to our parishioners, leaders and parish staff to build a picture of our strenghts and weaknesses and our hopes and dreams for the future. This has been done in one-on-one interviews as well as small group meetings. From this we will be led to define the gifts we feel we need in a new rector.
Here's what people have been saying:
I believe this is a multi-faceted congregation with diverse talents and opportunities available.
At St. Andrew's you feel the generosity of God.
A very close-knit congregation: a big family.
A prime example of God's presence if the Church Without Walls.
Children are active participants and encouraged in everything.
The parish is lively.
The Parish Profile is scheduled to be completed this summer. The Search Committee will begin its work in September.

The Parish Profile Committee is charged with creating an attractive, honest, web-based document which will serve to introduce the parish to candidates, and help guide the Search Committee in discerning the qualities we seek in a new rector. They will begin with extensive information gathering, both within our congregation as well as in the wider community, using small group meetings, personal interviews as well as written questionnaires. We aim to have the Profile completed by the beginning of the coming summer.
Using the Parish Profile as a guiding document, the Search Committee will be charged with conducting the search process. They will receive names from a variety of sources, including parishioners, other clergy, and a September deployment conference attended by Canon to the Ordinary Sarah Shofstall. The committee will contact candidates and solicit applications, and ultimately conduct interviews and visits. They will present one candidate to the vestry for the vestry's approval.
