Holy Living and Dying: Let's Talk
Wednesday evenings, April 29, May 6, May 13 and May 20 at 7 p.m.
In this Easter season, we will tackle some topics that we all must face at some time: the end of our lives. This series is informed by the Christian hope of resurrection, and is intended as a celebration of life even as we talk about difficult things.
April 29 - Celebrating Life: Fr. Derrick and Fr. Harvey will lead a discussion on the theology of death and resurrection, particularly in the context of a funeral service.
May 6 - Difficult Decisions: The Rev. Marianne MacCullagh, a chaplain from Baystate Medical Center, will talk about the challenges facing those in life-threatening conditions, or at the end of life, as well as the importance of having hard conversations before those moments arise.
May 13 - Financial Planning for Living: Mark Teed, Senior Vice President at Raymond James will lead a conversation about financial planning to meet life goals.
May 20 - Leaving a Legacy: Liz Sillin, a partner at Bulkley, Richardson & Gelinas, will talk about how we might plan for the legacy we wish to leave our families, communities and church.
